Service Description

Pal Wisdom Year 5 Maths begins Stage 3 of the NESA Mathematics K–10 syllabus, challenging students to apply mathematical concepts with greater independence and precision. Students work with numbers to the millions, operate confidently with all four operations, and deepen their understanding of fractions, decimals, and percentages. They explore geometry, measurement, probability, and data through investigations that encourage reasoning and problem-solving. The program builds mathematical fluency, critical thinking, and readiness for advanced primary and secondary maths. Key Skills Covered: Reading, writing, and ordering numbers to at least 1,000,000 Multi-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Fractions, decimals, and percentages, including equivalence and conversions Applying measurement formulas for area, perimeter, and volume Identifying and classifying angles and geometric properties Using timetables and calculating elapsed time Interpreting and constructing data displays Introduction to chance and probability language
